CPPS Music (Grade 4)

Term 3 |Semester Two (2020)

Mr. Richard Kant

WEEK 2 - Treble Clef

Once you are fluent at reading notes on the treble staff, it will be well prepared to learn instruments that have music written on this staff: violin, viola, flute, piano, guitar, recorder, voice and many others. When you return back to school, I will show you how to find the treble clef notes on your chosen instrument.

WE ARE LEARNING TO

1. Read music on the treble clef music stave (5 lines and 4 spaces)

2. Identify the treble line and space notes by letter names

3.Name all the white keys on the piano keyboard by letter names

4. Find all the treble clef line and space notes on the piano keyboard

Please download and go through this PowerPoint presentation at your own pace. It contains all the learning you are required to do. It is an extremely important lesson.

Suggested Plan: choose a time everyday to play the game. to help you quickly identify the letter names.
